Listening to Trees
木々に耳を傾ける
LISTENING TO TREES approaches nature in the context of ecological challenges and changing urban living environments. It understands nature as a web of relationships between people and space, as lived experience. Nature that surrounds us and permeates us, something we are constantly part of.
The exhibition brings together works across different practices by Danielle de Picciotto, TREE PROJECT by Zonenkinder and Yurika Saito.
Forms, images, sounds, and materials address different modes of attention and invite a more conscious way of perceiving the environment and our place within it.
An important point of reference is also Japan, informed by a differentiated philosophical and cultural engagement with nature. These perspectives resonate with both artists and visitors.
A program of readings, conversations, performances, and workshops expands on the themes of the exhibition and creates spaces for exchange from different angles.
